hey guys,

i am new to asterisks, i recently set up my first asterisk box, with a very
simple dial plan, that answers a call and plays one of the gsm sound files
that comes with asterisk. My problem is that the sound quality of the played
.gsm file is very poor. can anyone say how i can fix this, i tried using a
wav file, but asterisk says it cannot handle a wav file.

I am using asterisk 1.4 ,running on a ubuntu 8.04 server.
