I know it's unlikely, but could some of the dialplan changes from 1.6 
have accidentally filtered backwards into the 1.4 tree?

ie. Chanspy(|qg(1234)) becomes Chanspy(,qg(1234))

Unlikely I know, but probably worth a shot.
