if you asterisk version is 1.2.X

edit apps/Makefile

and discomment the line that contain 'app_sql_postgres.so':

# Obsolete things...
#
APPS+=app_sql_postgres.so
#APPS+=app_sql_odbc.so

save

if you use debian:

aptitude install libpq-dev

and compile again
