AFAIK for SIP the "sip:" protocol would be what you want, "callto:" is
the Skype idea of phone URIs IIRC.

In windows you can assign protocol handlers for protocols like "sip:",
some softphones will do that automatically. Works pretty much the same
like file type associations.
