You may want to take a look at ActivaTSP here:
    http://activa.sourceforge.net/index.html
I had only a quick play with it, but it looked promising and is
developing pretty fast.

If you want to try AstTAPI, then I suggest that you checkout the CVS
version, and build it yourself - This had several additions and fixes
beyond the pre-built binary.
