[asterisk-users] turning off DTMF detection on Zap channels

Hello list,
I am struck with a problem: I have a setup where I accept calls on an FXO
port from the PSTN and redirect them immediately to an FXS port where a
data acquisition appartaus is waiting for data sent in DTMF format. The
problem I am experiencing is that Asterisk will in any case "listen" to
incoming DTMF tones on the line and will sinthetize them on the output
line - but with a wrong cadence! That is, the devices send DTMF data with
60ms tone and 40ms silence, while Asterisk will "rebuild" them but with
100ms tone and 100ms silence. this leads to a lot of problems. I have
already tried relaxdtmf but this did not solve the resinthesis problem.
I am wondering:
- is there any way to let asterisk "pass through" the tones without
resynthetising them?
- or, is there any way to make a Zap channel completely ignore any DTMF
tone, and therefore letting it pass the tones along as if they were
speech? I am looking for compilation #defines, but have found none so far.
Thanks
l.
