Thank you for your message-

I have held a Linksys/ Sipura. It looks nice, however the model I saw
was $125 for two line appearances. Aastra offers 12 line appearances in
their 9000 series phone for about the same price. Check out
www*aastratelecom*com/ipphones/pro_240*asp

I have found that for between $100 and $150 you have alot of choice of
Quality units. Under $100, it becomes hit or miss. If you are concerned
about your users becoming upset if their phone flips out- I highly
recommend spending the extra money.

As far as Snow- They look very cool, and I love almost everything Linux
based- PDA's, PVR,s, everything- but, I wonder if it will need to be
rebooted every once in a while to stay happy- Every phone that is SIP
has an OS- so, its hard to say if a Linux phone is more stable then a
simpler phone.

The Zultys WIP2 I mentioned is Linux based- works great, but because its
rechargeable, they get rebooted often. Check out Polycoms, and Aastra-
Aastras are really rebranded Nortel phones- And I have read may good
reviews of Polycom.

Asterisk is Awesome, and very powerful--- I think the only thing that
can make an Asterisk install "look poor" is a poor phone (Besides a bad
extensions.conf)

Feel free to email me - I hope to participate in this group often.

Matt
