For the hash issue, you need to modify your dialplan on sip.cfg or
*-phone.cfg and tell it to dial anything you want and use X number of
waiting seconds to start dialing, for example:

dialplan.impossibleMatchHandling="3"

here Im telling the phone that if no match is found on the dialplan (the
phone, not asterisk), then dial it in 3 seconds without having to press #

I also use

 dialplan.digitmap="x.T"

so that it will dial anything I want and let asterisk deal with it on its
own dialplan terms, if you dont us this, then you need to enter something
like XXXXXX which will let you dial X numbers and the phone tries to match
the numbers entered before passing the call to asterisk.

Best bet, use x.T which means, let me dial what I want damn it :)

Hope this helps.

All settings mentioned go either in sip.cfg (for all phones) or
MAC-phone.cfg for a particular phone.

I guess it doesn't work by default on my phone. You still need to press hash
to transfer calls. The transfer button doesn't work. Where do I set it?

Hi Guys

Just a quick question regarding on the 501, has anyone been able to
configure the transfer button and messaging buttons to work with asterisk?

Can you share a configuration to do this?

Thanks in advance.
