Hi all, I've been running a generic tor2 card from
varion in a box for a couple years now with a few
pri's going to it. I thought it was time to pick up
another card to experiment with and have on hand as a
backup so the boss picked up another varion tormenta2
card but I sure can't seem to get it installed.

I started out with the latest debian netboot cd and
upgraded to the 2.6 kernel. Everything seems smooth
there.  I downloaded zaptel-1.2.6, ran make linux26
and installed it, here's the resulting dmesg output on
reboot:
Zapata Telephony Interface Registered on major 196
Zaptel Version: 1.2.6 Echo Canceller: KB1
ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:01:08.0[A] -> GSI 20 (level,
low) -> IRQ 20
Detected Tormenta 2 Quad T1/PRI or E1/PRA at
0xfcf00800/0xfcf00000 irq 20
Xilinx Chip successfully loaded, configured and
started!!
Tormenta 2 Quad T1/PRI Card
Detected Card number: 2

ztcfg -vvv gets me:

/etc/zaptel.conf is the same as my other server:
span=1,1,0,esf,b8zs
span=2,0,0,esf,b8zs

tor2                   90784  0
zaptel                229636  1 tor2

My functional box is running a much older zaptel
(1.0.2) - I seem to recall there being a reason I went
with it over the latest when I installed it, but I
sure don't remember what it would have been. Anyway
here's its dmesg:
Zapata Telephony Interface Registered on major 196
Detected Tormenta 2 Quad T1/PRI or E1/PRA at
0xfcf00800/0xfcf00000 irq 16
Xilinx Chip successfully loaded, configured and

Zaptel: Master changed to Tor2/0/4

It seems as if i'm missing the whole "launching card"
bit. Any suggestions as to what is actually happening
here would be greatly appreciated. I spend most of my
time with freebsd so perhaps I've missed an obvious
answer.
