Oops, I didn't ask my question correctly.  You're right, it isn't a
"dial" command.  What I wanted to know was the contents of your
originate action, e.g.:

Channel    => 'zap/g0/' . $dialed_num

(From one of my Perl scripts using
POE::Component::Client::Asterisk::Manager)
