[asterisk-users] visual indication of temp. closed mode

I may have to do something like that to be able to setup some way to
temporarily close our office. I haven't really found anything else that
would have a visual indicator that the system is on temp. closed mode. I
can manually set a database entry (which I already do), and I know I can add
an extension to set this, but neither of those visually alerts our
receptionist.

Right now, we still have a Cisco SCCP phone on the system. She hits the DND
button, which the SCCP driver updates the database of this, and that's what
I check.

I know this has come up several times, but so far, I haven't really seen any
really good solutions. My receptionist system will more than likely be a
Polycom IP601. I'm thinking of creating an extension that would be used
only for this purpose.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks!

did you do
include => app-set-mwi
in the context where the phone is?
I guess not, so the phone wont know about *35
