[Asterisk-Users] callfiles: how to query current dial attempt nr in extensions.conf?

Hi all,

is the current # of the dial attempt provided in any channel variable
or otherwise queryable in the dialplan ?

I have defined a failed extension in the context of the callfile
and want to do some special logging/cleanup upon the last failed call
attempt.

TIA,
Bruno

BTW:
I just found out that using SetVar: VARNAME=VALUE in a callfile
silently truncates the VALUE string after the 19th char so some
ugly previous split up of longer values and later cocatination
in the dialplan has to be performed for longer values.
At least in 1.0.9 - is this limit lifted in 1.2?
