I have been seeing something very, very similar with IAX2 peers that use 
hostnames rather than IP addresses.  Upon * start/restart, they've got no IP 
"(unspecified)" but once the DNS refresh thread is kicked, they work great.

Hasn't been a real killer thing here which is why I've not mentioned it until 
now.  :-)
