Hi,

I am quite sure it is asterisk as showed in with the top utility. I have renamed mpg123 to see if this was causing the problem but the cpu spikes keep going to 99%....

Asterisk perform well with 1 or 2 calls (with mpg123 and without mpg123) but when more than 3-4 calls are simultaneous, the load goes to 99% and audio is bad.

I have noticed 2 asterisk processes at some time with the top utility.

Regards.

Hi,

Are you sure the process consuming your CPU is Asterisk?
Did you tried with different codecs?
