Hoi Michiel,

Your results are encouraging:-). This is exactly what I have in mind: drop the 
kpn subscription!

My /etc/hosts was already OK. So I tried your sip.conf. (Didn't bother with 
the extensions.conf yet. First I need to be able to register...)
I filled in my phonenumber and password in the correct spots and tried to 
register. Unfortunately, no luck..
"sip debug" gives the following:

I don't get any response back from the sip-server.
Interestingly, when I comment out externip and localnet I get the following:

Here I do get one response back from the server, but not the final one...
Also tethereal shows that in the second case I do get a response from the
