It's not a stupid question, but answering it requires some more info about 
your setup.

If you have any kind of auto-answering DID which allows you to then tone in 
an extension, you can add an extension to that (any number that fits the 
dialplan) which connects you to voicemailmain.

If you don't have such an inbound number, you can dial any number in your 
system that goes to voicemail (your own, for instance) and hit 'star'. You 
will then get a password prompt.
