It also fails.

# /etc/init.d/zaptel start
* Starting zaptel...
Notice: Configuration file is /etc/zaptel.conf
line 206: Unable to open master device '/dev/zap/ 
ctl'                     [ ok ]

# lsmod

Any other ideas?
