[Asterisk-Users] logger reload/restart hanging

Hi,

We're running a very old version of Asterisk
(CVS-HEAD-08/03/04) and we're having some
problems with logging.

Our logger.conf has the following:
	full => notice,warning,error,debug,verbose

After having started Asterisk, asterisk will hang in
"/usr/sbin/asterisk -rx 'logger reload'" unless some
output has been sent to the file. I can't find
anything on bugs.digium.com related to this problem.
Am I the only one?

Also no useful output will be sent to the log file,
unless I run "asterisk -rvvvvdn" and exit from the
console. Is this normal? How do I prevent neeeding
this step?

I know we shoul move to at least 1.0, but we're
running this in production and we haven't felt the
need to upgrade. If necessary I can backport...
