Hi Race,
OK let me start answering ur questions one by one,

1. I am running RedHat 9.0, i just installed it 3 days ago,
2. I am using gcc version 3.2.2 20030222 (Red Hat Linux 3.2.2-5)
3. I am not using NTP.
4. First i i issued make clean then i deleted all the asterisk
directories /etc/asterisk, /usr/src/asterisk and /usr/lib/asterisk
5 Yes actually i do have another machine to test asterisk with, i am
installing it right now.

Answer to dumb question #1 :-) When I issue the locate command i get the
following:/usr/lib/asterisk/modules/chan_iax2.so
	  /usr/src/asterisk-1.0.5/channels/chan_iax2.so

Well i dont fully understand IAX,all I need is just one asterisk box to
route incomming calls from the PSTN lines to the first available
operator/customer care specialist.

I tried the vanilla startup an got jack, but when i tried asterisk -cvv
i got an output that was similar to before but on that it included the
following line at the bottom (complete out is include at end of this
mail):
Feb 19 18:05:36 NOTICE[12498]: res_musiconhold.c:309 monmp3thread:
Request to schedule in the past?!?!

I am not frustrated, this is actually a bit exciting coz i am getting to
know more about a software that i have heard alot about, i know some how
i will get to the bottom of it all.

Thanks again, any help will be greatly appreciated

Edward
