Is this what you were talking about?
[root at asterisk81 ~]# ps `cat No such file or directory-o vsize -o rss
cat: /var/run/asterisk/asterisk.pid: No such file or directory

I have file /var/run/asterisk.pid and when I enter next command this is
what I get:
[root at asterisk81 ~]# ps `cat /var/run/asterisk.pid` -o vsize -o rss
