Yes, 
	As a guy who has monkey with SIP and asterisk's chan_sip.c there
is a good example and starting point there.

	It is a little messy, but it is a good teaching tool.

Hi,

There is a SIP stack in Asterisk - but rather integrated, and (some
might 
say ;-) ) not the world most perfect SIP implementation.

A number of them are open-source/free (Vovida's is one I know about).
