I have always bought all the smartnet from CDW. I do not know why they
refused to sell to you. I always purchase equipment for less expensive from
a local reseller then buy the smart nets from CDW.

I too contacted CDW about the $9.37 Cisco support contract. But
because I did not buy my phone from them I was not allowed to purchase
it. The vendor I bought the phone from does not provide them. What are
the "magic words" to get CDW to sell it to you? With all of this hassle
I highly doubt that I will buy more Cisco phones anyway. After talking
with people at Astricon my next purchase will be an Aastra or Polycom.
Aastra was a sponsor and had their own booth, plus I saw their guys at
the dev meeting so I already know that they have much more interest in
us than Cisco...
But for now I still have a brand new 7960 that does absolutely
nothing.
(Except round out my collection of modern art).
