There's another take on this, something that Mark Spencer told a few of 
us asterisk freaks who had gathered for a meal together at VON this Spring.

Someone said something about the "high" markup on the card, given that 
everyone knows it's a $10 part.

"It's a high markup until the phone call comes in looking for support. 
Once that happens, most of the time we then go to a deficit on that 
sale, because most newbies take a lot of time to support, and if they 
buy it from us, they get to call and we get to help them."

I didn't see any mails telling us what Diginetworks support told the 
user who sent the post.  That would be an interesting data point.
