I don't know with the Motorola, but from my experience with Cisco 
ATA-186 and Linksys PAP. the only way to restore it to defaults is 
knowing a password that is associated to the device's MAC address, and 
I don't know how they generate them.

Also, I doubt you'd get any firmware updates from Motorola if you're 
not a motorola customer (service provider).
