I noticed it too, just haven't had the time to do the timings.  But in 
general, I noticed that *ALL* time(out) based functions were off by 
almost a factor of 2, but in my case they were typically the other way, 
meaning a specified 20 second timeout would trigger in 10 seconds, 60 in 
30, etc...  I'm sure it worked both ways though, just haven't been able 
to _time_ it yet.
