Firstly, I assume you mean hash (#), as found on telephone keypads,
rather than pound (£), as found on currency. :-)

Secondly, you seem to be looking for the Directory application:

    http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+cmd+Directory

That application appears to use the '1' key, rather than the hash key,
but seems to do what you want.  I haven't used it myself.
