[Asterisk-Users] Transfer to Fax - 123 - Vonage

I wasn't able to allow ports udp 10000-20000 through my firewall (snapgear
570) so I stuck a second interface in the server outside the firewall. Works
great now. I may try going back once I get a real firewall.

Tim,

Are you using * -> Vonage with NAT? If so could you post your
relevant sip.conf entries? I have been unable to get this working but
really wanted to try it out. Thanks.

Okay, my last post for the night.

So, after tweaking my iptables rules I placed a test call from
my * -> Vonage softphone account, to my Vonage main account (which uses the
Motorola device). Once connected I tried punching a few DTMF's to check the
quality and found I had been transferred to a fax machine. ???? Did I find
a secret entrance to some fax machine at Vonage, or are they providing some
other fax gateway and forgot to mention it ? Amazingly, searching "fax" from
the Vonage search bar returns 0 results. Terrific.
