[Asterisk-Users] Comedian Mail User Guide

Well, wasn't aware I gave an excuse since I said I would gladly do it.
Rather I was pointing out that I will have a little learning curve where
someone in the know would not. In essence, embracing the very idea you
just sent me. Regardless, I am happy to give back since so many on this
list have helped me when I needed it.

To any * users out there with any Comedian Mail documentation for an end
user (read non-technical user), feel free to send it to me for inclusion
and I will credit you as a contributor when I post to the project. My
goal is to author the explanatory part of this in such a way that even
my most techno-illiterate users could get their messages... 8)

I signed up and will submit something in the next week or so.

Thanks,
Wiley

That's no excuse. I find some of the best documentation is written by
people who originally had no idea. If you document as you learn, then
you can flesh those ideas into a nice layout. Once that is done, you
can expand upon those ideas as you learn more about the system or
component you are working on.

At least that seems to work for me.

You'll want to join the asterisk-doc mailing list
(http://www.asterisk.org/index.php?menu=support). All documentation for
submission can be posted there so that the documentation community can
help you out. If you don't know DocBook (the preferred format for
writing) we are willing to help. If you don't have time to learn a new
format (or no desire to since you're spending all that extra time
writing docs :)) we're willing to convert it for you.

If you're interested in writing documentation, join the mailing list or
join the #asterisk-doc IRC channel on Freenode.

Thanks,
Leif Madsen.
