[Asterisk-Users] How much extensions will exhaust asterisk

I would search google with site:list.digum.com

Everything I have seen seems to imply that there is an extension
limitation.

Hardware would surely be a limitation for that number of open calls as
well.

Subject: [Asterisk-Users] How much extensions will exhaust asterisk

Hi,

I had a reliable asterisk version (CVS-Head from June), as long as I
processed only national traffic.
I had only about 20 extensions according the german national numbering
plan.

Now I added an international routing plan with several thousends of
extensions.

When starting asterisk in the background, it crashes with "Segmentation
fault".

When starting with console, asterisk starts.

Is several thousends already a large number of extensions?

Roger.
