This may be the case...I'm not sure, I do seem to remember something 
about a transfer patch either being added to bugs.digium.com or to 
CVS.  Do a search on the bugtracker for consultative tranfer.

Alternatively you can call the person, talk to them/ask if they want 
to accept the transfer, and if so, drag the call to them.

Someone else may be able to help you with a hardware solution.
