[Asterisk-Users] Cisco 7965 - New IP phone - Need Info

The 7965 is an old model IP phone, one of Cisco's first.  I hardly see these
on the market anymore.  If you can find them they cost next to nothing.  The
G refers to an update that can be done to certain later model 7965 phones
that have the correct firmware.

Yeah, but Cisco's site refers to it as the 7965G, and the 'G' on their 
phones is only a couple years old.  There's one security update page 
that refers to the 7980G, 7970GE, 7971G, 7961G, and a few others--I 
can't tell if Cisco has a whole block of new phones in wide-spread 
testing, or if the security page is a complete fiction.

I mean, on one hand, Cisco isn't usually very good at keeping new 
products secret.  On the other hand, that page lists 7 phones, only one 
of which (the 7970G) shows up anywhere else on their website.  6 new 
models is pushing it, even for Cisco.
