[Asterisk-Users] Asterisk on a notebook

Hi Philipp,

I have a notebook running in a remote location (powered by Solar) and
connected to an ISDN line with an AVM Fritz PCMCIA ISDN card (and chan_capi)
- this works very well for me. This may not be helpful to you at all as you
are specifically talking about a POTS line.

Derek

Subject: [Asterisk-Users] Asterisk on a notebook

Hi,
I've got a (maybe stupid) question:
I'd like to install Asterisk on my notebook (just to play around with it).
Is my internal phone modem equivalent to an FXO port? Hence, could I make
phonecalls to my pots-line with it?

thanks
philipp
