I believe you will need a "real" phone number to sign up, and they'll
provide 1+ long-distance on that.  I have my home phone on zone-ld.
Once you have the account set up, you can choose any number of 800#s (or
transfer them) and have them terminate on your VP incoming line.  Or
your cell-phone.  Or anywhere you want, really.  No monthly fees for the
numbers, but I think they started charging a couple of bucks to
provision the numbers now.  There are other options here:
http://ld.net?mu (yes, I'm muWare), and they all run through the same
network as zone-ld.  Unitel has 6s billing, Opex offers 3.5c/min but
they charge 53c/monthly.  Take your pick.
