Currently there is support for play from an offset, and record starting
at offset from the AGI interface.

There is no support at this time for dynamic volume control. For this
you would need to get into the API and and handle the audio directly and
adjust the audio directly. Of course once you are writing a asterisk
application, a lot of things get to be much easier but you are stuck
writing in a language that can be embedded into asterisk such as C.
