I tried running those commands, though it didn't do too much. Asterisk
stopped with the same errors as in my original email.
=============== start of log ===============
[root at rosella cepcion]# /sbin/modprobe zaptel
[root at rosella cepcion]# /sbin/modprobe wct1xxp
[root at rosella cepcion]# /sbin/ztcfg -vvvv

Zaptel Configuration
======================

Channel map:

0 channels configured.

[root at rosella cepcion]#
============= end of log ============

Here's what appeared in /var/log/messages after running the commands :
Jun 30 09:51:33 rosella kernel: Zapata Telephony Interface Registered on
major 196
Jun 30 09:51:41 rosella kernel: Framer: DS21552, Revision: 3 (T1)
Jun 30 09:51:41 rosella kernel: Found a Wildcard: Digium Wildcard T100P
T1/PRI
Jun 30 09:51:48 rosella kernel: Registered tone zone 0 (United States /
North America)

What else can I try?
