Dear List
i have see from the latest cvs updates the there is a new feature call
"Provide Open Settlement Protocol capability" after a googling i have found
this:
----------
Settlement Protocol (OSP) standard ratified in November 2003 by the European
Telecommunications Standard Institute (ETSI). OSP is the global standard for
inter-domain pricing, authorization and usage exchange.
Look ahead routing information can be extracted from authorization tokens for
improved network efficiencies and call detail record reporting.
VoIP devices may now enroll with multiple certificate authorities and exchange
traffic with multiple clearinghouses.
OSP messages can now be load balanced among multiple OSP servers.
Expanded support for SIP-H.323 inter-working.
Expanded support for SIP call scenarios.
Support for OSP Capabilities Exchange messages for automated reporting of
device status.
----------
In the last week i have send an email to Asterisk-Biz to ask if is possible to
create sort of Carrier Network Voip more then one say that is very difficult
because there are not a protocol to define the detail of the call inside the
network.
Now This new Asterisk feature is the answer? or is another feature?
Thanks in advance
Dimitri
