[Asterisk-Users] 3com SIP phone issues

I have a 3com sip phone that I can't seem to get correctly setup for *
I set the identity of the phone to 5kevin2
I set the password on the phone to 222 (not the admin pw to change the
phone's settings, but the pw it is supposed to send to the sip server)
I set the sip server to my asterisk servers ip.

If I don't add anything to the sip.conf file for the phone, I can dial
internal extentions, but when I try to add entries for it to the
sip.conf file, it gives this error :

Jun  2 14:07:44 NOTICE[-1116451920]: chan_sip.c:6642 handle_request:
Registration from '<sip:5kevin2 at asterisk.huntbrothers.com>' failed for
'209.16.88.183'

Jun  2 14:07:58 NOTICE[-1116451920]: chan_sip.c:6334 handle_request:

<sip:5kevin2 at asterisk.huntbrothers.com>;tag=43325296

Entries I added to sip.conf

 [5kevin2]
 host=dynamic
 type=friend
 username=5kevin2
 secret=222

If I remove the above entries, and do a sip reload, then the phone can
call internal extentions again.
Am I missing something obvious ? If anyone has gotten these working,
can you send me the sip.conf entries and the step by step for the phone
setup itself?
