Yes the uip200 does this reliably.  

The only downside is that once you initiate a transfer, there is no way to 
cancel out of it and get your caller back (ie: the person you are 
transferring to is unavailable).
Unidien is looking into implementing this in a future firmware.  Of course, 
the more people that buy the phone and request the feature from support, the 
more heat their marketing will put on dev to get it done ;-)
