When you make a crotchety statement like this, it makes the community look
bad. It has been my experience that searching through the archives is
painful and non-useful. The more useful information, cross referenced info
we can get into the archives, the better. How about actually turning your
post into something useful by pointing out some of your favorite sources of
information. For example:
Read about variables and the GotoIF in
/usr/src/digium/asterisk/README.variables
In asterisk CLI, try:
asterisk*CLI> show application Gotoif
My mother taught me that if you don't have something nice to say, it is
better not to say it all. My mother is a smart woman.
