[Asterisk-Users] RV: Strange Behaviour with DMZ

Hello to everybody!

I have mounted an asterisk pbx on my work, which have two nic cards,
one with the Public IP onto the DMZ and the other with the Private IP to
connect the LAN network, and one sip phone (grandstream BT100) on internet
in a DSL. The LAN side works perfectly but the internet calls... is another
story.

If I configure the public nic with the Gateway pointing to the WAN router,
nothing happens, cannot connect (phones rings, but doesn't detect the other
side answering)... but if I put the gateway as my lan router (the firewall)
the other side can call me, we have full duplex sound, (I need to put on the
SIP.conf externip, localnet and localmask as if the pbx were on NAT), but
when I call the other end (on internet) phone rings, they answer, but the
answer comes to the firewall ip, not the public ip. I have a firewall with
dmz, and we have various public ip's (one for the asterisk). I have traced
connections with ethereal, and it's very strange.

Thanks,

	Jorge Santos
