[Asterisk-Users] firefly and caller id

That's exactly my point: Asterisk 1.0 passes CIDName automatically when it
is different to CIDNum, but not when they are the same and the caller is
calling from a UK POTS phone. In this instance, I have to set CIDName
explicitly (to ${CALLERIDNAME}!). (Probably something to do with
CALLERIDNAME not currently being used on the UK PSTN.)

My version (3rd party, 1.9.3.3934) of Firefly picks up CIDNum just fine!
Maybe you have a CIDNum that Firefly doesn't like?

Asterisk passes CIDName just fine (in my case CIDName and CIDNum are
different) -- Firefly just does not pick up CIDNum (I'm using a blank
CIDName in this case). I know Asterisk passes CIDNum without Name just fine
too, since that shows up fine on my Nortel system (PRI connection between *
and Norstar).
