Agreed, I had already tested that myself. That's why I want to see the 
IP300 start including that cable, so it can be used either way.

Interestingly, the IP500 cannot be used both ways, as it does not have a 
socket in which to insert the power plug :-) It can only receive power 
via its network cable.
