I think so. But I'm not certain.
I have a Polycom IP 600 on my desk and a Firefly IAX2 soft phone on my
laptop. If the Polycom phone places the call on hold then I hear MOH
from the * server at the Firefly client. If the Firefly places the call
on hold then it generates its own MOH based upon a locally stored MP3
file. Without the file the Firefly client does not engage MOH from the
server.
