[Asterisk-Users] Stream File (AGI) question

Can this be used with alaw audio files?

 

I have an AGI that generates alaw audio files, then tries to use STREAM
FILE to get asterisk to play them. The file is created in
/var/lib/asterisk/sounds and, if I put Background(filename) in the next
priority, it plays fine. I don't quite know why it's not playing when I
issue the Stream FILE?!

 

Any suggestions?
