Subject: [Asterisk-Users] Convert Cisco 7960 to sip
Hi,
Does anybody have a good set of directions
for converting
to SIP? They shipped as CallManager phones
and that just wont do.
The Cisco documentation has some significant
gaps. I do have the
firmware, just need some tips on how to make
the tftp thing work out.
I read the wiki and was encouraged that it
can be done, but not sure where to start.
I have dhcp and tftp on a workstation on the
vlan with my phones. Not sure how to trigger the tftp download after the
phone gets an ip from dhcp. Not sure exactly which files need to be present -
apparently the updates need to go in a particular order.
Thanks,
Tom
