[Asterisk-Users] Sound problems ..linux red hat

Hi,
I have 2 sound cards on my system a SIS controller with an i_810 module ( 
generic rockwell itu chipset ) and  another recognized as cirrus log ( 
cs466xx module ) ..this is creative soundblaster 128 pci ...
i used sndconfig to configure them and the sound plays on both...cirrus 
logic is the primary device presently ( red hat fedora core )..
The other apps using sound work well but no softphones can emit any sound 
(on local conn without firewall) and asterisk can't be used for playbacks on 
same machine ...
The softphone i use Sjphone i have ulaw, alow and g7 preferances for codecs 
in order.
The softphone worked well in windows environment ...i guess all things being 
same when i switch from linux to windows on same machine, i should be able 
to hear the dialing out and ringing sounds ...
could i get some leads please.
