[Asterisk-Users] compiling asterisk on freebsd 5.2-release

i seem to have fallen at the first hurdle of installation of ASterisk on a
FreeBSD system

it seems that others have it to compile on  freebsd systems so i assume this
is a supported config

have used the CVS distribution of Asterisk as per;

http://www.asteriskpbx.com/index.php?menu=download

when compiling with gmake am getting errors which perhaps suggest either
wrong source or otherwise

any clues / information here will be well received
