[Asterisk-Users] chan_sip.c max number of retries?

the currnt error is 

Apr 29 12:50:45 NOTICE[1125329600]: chan_sip.c:3299 sip_reg_timeout: Registration for '292950 at 192.246.69.223' timed out, trying again

on sip show peers it shows

Name/username    Host                 Mask             Port     Status
fwd/292950       192.246.69.223       255.255.255.255  5060     Unmonitored

any ideas anyone?

i tried the mailing list archieves but similar problems   did not have solutions, or atleast when i tried it it didnt make mush of a difference.

one question, for configuring FWD I need only modify SIP.conf and EXTENSIONS.conf,right? or do i need to make any other changes?

also, i have tried so many versions of the config files from the mailing lists that i dont know whats right and whats wrong?

This means that Asterisk stoped getting responses from 211.28.255.135. 
There are many possible reasons for this.  This is the IP address of 
your SIP client, right?  If it isn't you have something seriously wrong 
with your configuration.  Some possible causes of this could be NAT, 
Firewall, Reinvites, crashed SIP client, um..what else...network 
problems, duplex mismatch on the ethernet segmant, packet loss, etc.

You did not find any solutions to this problem when you searched the 
mailing list archives?
