A new architecture is raising, that will mean that we can rip out all of the database
specific code from the various applications and channels. That's why we're not
spending extra time for changing code that will be going through a major change soon
anyway.

Without the details, I have a vague memory of Mysql changing the license for their
devkits two times, thus the confusion. I might be totally wrong.
