[Asterisk-Users] SIP Providers Call Progress

I tried the 'r' option, all I get is about one second of ringback when
the call is placed but no continuing ringback until the call is
answered.

What does your extensions.conf file look like?

I think you need to use the "r" option in the Dial application
to send the ring sound.  The default is not to send anything
back 'till the call is made.

At least that is my understanding.
